Our Nursery Program

Leaving your baby in someone else’s care is a big moment. Our nursery is a calm, unhurried room where each baby has a familiar educator and a day shaped around their own routines.

A calm start to childcare

One familiar face for your baby

Babies feel safe when they know who will pick them up, feed them and settle them to sleep. That is why our nursery uses a primary caregiver approach. Each baby has one main educator who gets to know them closely.

Getting to know your baby

Your baby’s primary caregiver learns how they like to be held, what helps them settle and the small signs that say they are tired or hungry. You will get to know them too, so there is always someone you can talk to at drop-off and pick-up.

Settling in at your pace

Our approach is designed to let babies build trust gradually. We can talk with you about visiting together before your start date, and about anything that helps at home, such as a comforter or a favourite song.

Individual routines

Your baby’s day, in your baby’s rhythm

There is no single timetable in our nursery. Each baby sleeps, eats and plays on their own schedule, and we keep it as close to home as we can.

  • Sleep and rest

Babies sleep when they are tired, not when the clock says so. Our nursery has a quiet sleep room with individual cots, and we follow the sleep routine you use at home as closely as we can.

  • Feeding and meals

Bottles and meals fit your baby’s own timing. As they start solids, food from our kitchen can be pureed, mashed or served as finger food, depending on what your baby is ready for.

  • Sensory play

Young babies learn through their senses. Soft textures, safe objects to hold and mouth, music, picture books and plenty of floor time help them reach, roll, crawl and explore.

  • Indoors and outdoors

Fresh air is part of every day, even in winter. We simply dress for the weather. Outside, babies can watch older children, feel the grass and enjoy a change of scene.

Every meal is cooked in our own kitchen, with halal, vegetarian and allergy-aware options. Learn about our meals.

Working with families

You know your baby best

We see you as your baby’s first and most important teacher. When you start, we ask about sleep, feeds, settling and anything else we should know, and we keep checking in as your baby grows and their routines change.

Each day we share how your baby has been, including sleeps, meals and the moments that made them smile. If something changes at home, such as teething or a new feeding plan, just let us know.

FAQs

Questions about our nursery

Not sure about something? We are always happy to talk it through on a tour or over the phone.

What age can my baby start in the nursery?

Our nursery cares for babies and young children from birth to around two years of age. Talk to us about your baby’s age and your return-to-work date, and we can explain the options and what places are available.

Will my baby have the same educator each day?

Our nursery uses a primary caregiver approach. Each baby has one main educator who gets to know their routines and becomes a familiar face, while the rest of the nursery team also knows your child well.

Can you follow my baby’s sleep and feeding routine?

Yes, that is how our nursery works. We ask about your baby’s sleep, feeds and settling when you start, and we follow each child’s own rhythm rather than one timetable for the whole room.

Are meals included for babies?

Meals are prepared in our on-site kitchen, and food for babies can be pureed, mashed or cut into finger food as needed. Halal, vegetarian and allergy-aware options are available. Talk to us about bottles and formula when you enrol.

How will I know how my baby’s day went?

We talk with you at drop-off and pick-up about sleeps, feeds and how your baby has been. If you have a question during the day, you are welcome to call the centre.
